The Maker Movement: Finding Meaning in Work

Matt Frauenfelder’s speaking at the Cornell ILR Center in NYC next Thursday.

In 2004, Mark Frauenfelder was asked to put together a new kind of magazine that would combine a DIY ethos and technology. His idea, Make, has inspired a movement around the world. From new kinds of organizations (Maker Spaces), gatherings (Maker Faire), to companies (Maker Bot), maker-ism celebrates individual creativity and the pleasure of producing.

Mark will talk about what Makerism means in the 21st century and why it is so necessary as we rethink the future of work.

If you’re interested, but not going to be in NYC April 6, it’s being streamed.
