I was concerned that when we weld stuff in the welding corner and put it on the formica table top there it will melt the table top. So I bought a sheet metal table top to replace the formica. I plan to work on it Tuesday evening.
Are we actually allowed to do welding in the space? I seem to remember some zoning / certificate of occupancy restrictions surrounding the activity. Anyone know the facts?
John’s concern was about oxy-acetylene welding. Acetylene requires special ventilation in a basement because it is heavier than air. John is fine with arc welding.
I should relocate all of my lamps in that area. The craft paper one, the tyvek one, and the plywood/tyvek (scoreboard) one. If you weld b4 I do that, do you mind moving em? XM
