Hackerspace API

Hey, just saw this on Hack-a-Day: http://hackaday.com/2015/04/02/finally-a-hardware-hackerspace-map-for-the-apocalypse/

Excerpt from the article:

In case you don’t know, our hacker brethren in Europe are pretty darn sophisticated with their hackerspaces — most of them even implement the Hackerspace API which tells the public when they are open, or closed. This allows them to tap in with hardware to create a fancy notifications for when the spaces are open!

This would be pretty cool implement for our space. What do others think?

I’m having a hard time parsing out what it means to “implement [this] for our space.” Does this just mean we have to put up a web page returning data in the JSON format they say, and tell them about it?

We’d still have to figure out little things like when we are open to tell it, right?

I think it’s a good idea. I think we can safely safely say M-Th, 7-9 and then add other times if they seem certain.
